What if just for today, you pretended that each and every person that you meet is God. How would you greet them? Would you treat them differently than you normally treat people? What would your motive be for treating them differently?
Let’s call this a two-part experiment. When you meet someone new, see their perfection. When you see someone that you don’t care for, see all of the good that is in them. Look for all of the positive and redeeming qualities in a person.
At the end of the day, find a mirror and take a good look at yourself. Imagine that YOU are God. See your own perfection. See your positive qualities. Be kind to yourself.
Finding the good in others can be easier than finding those same qualities within ourselves. But in order to really see the divine nature in others, we must first be able to see it in ourselves.
I would love to hear from those that try this experiment.
